Child Actors: Then and Now

It’s hard to continue childhood success in adulthood particularly in entertainment industry. Hollywood has witness dozens of example where child artists won million hearts but as they touched young age, could not survive in the movies. Nevertheless it is not the final truth of silver screens. We have many actors who began their career as child artist thereafter they were honored as most talented actors and earned more respect, love from fans. Though list is enough large we have compiled some major names from it at here.

Scarlett Johansson
She commenced her acting career at 9 with notorious bomb in 1994. Later she appeared in few more movies like Manny & Co., The Horse Whisperer, soon she grabbed critic’s attention for her role in ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ and ‘Iron Man 2’.

Christian Bale
He debuted in Hollywood at tender age of 12 with Steven Spielberg. As a young actor he earned name and fame for his leading role in ‘Batman’ and ‘Terminator: Salvation.’

Drew Barrymore
She belongs to a family who is in Hollywood for generations. At age of 5 Drew appeared first time on silver screen though she could not maintain it for long. After struggling personal problems for a long time she is counted in Hollywood’s leading actresses.

Natalie Portman
Natalie left impressive impact on viewer in her first film ‘The Professional’ in 1994 while she was only 12. She appeared in other movies like ‘Star Wars series’ meanwhile she completed her degree in psychology from Harvard in 2003. Recently she has won Academy Award for her performance in ‘Black Swan’.

Angelina Jolie
Jolie began her career at the age of 6 with a short appearance in ‘Looking to Get Out’ in 1982 with her real life father Jon Voight. In teenage she joined Lee Strasberg Institute but did not work as actor and spend more time in modeling. At 24 she won her first Oscar for ‘Girl Interrupted’ and today she is one of most powerful lady in Hollywood.
