Hollywood is the world or entertainment, glamour, name, fame, money as well as overnight successes. On time to time we hear news from big celebrities that how they faced indecent proposal from their Hollywood agents, directors, producers or biggest celebrities. One time it was assumed that casting couch has been eloped from the entertainment industry but it never lost completely as recently media published some new reports about casting couch traditions.
In 1991 Oscar-winning film producer Julia Phillips published a book entitled “You’ll Never Eat Lunch In This Town Again”. Lisa Rinna, star in new reality show “Harry Loves Lisa” disclosed her first hand experience in a interview with PopEater’s Naughty But Nice column that how people were used to see her as a piece of meat instead a living human being. She also revealed that not only she but also her husband Harry Hamlin was a victim of casting couch as both of them had to cross a path to start their journey in Hollywood.
Megan Fox
Star in Transformer series Megan Fox is also a victim of such indecent proposals. She had to face it in her earlier days of acting career which she refused completely. Later she started her career with Transformer and got worldwide appreciation for her acting skills.
Henry Wilson
Henry Wilson was the most notorious director who exploited most strugglers especially males. He started his life in Hollywood, as a casting director and soon he become a legend in the industry where he could use his position as he wanted. According to Hollywood reporters he made several stars but after getting them in bed only. It is said that Junior Durkin, Lana Turner, Tab Hunter, Rock Hudson and dozens of other strugglers were his victims.
Besides these famous examples there are some more unpopular casting couch rumours involving today’s big celebrities like Brad Pitt was a houseboy for Soap writer Thom Racina for 2 years, Clint Eastwood accepted offer of director Arthur Lubin, Clark Gable got his biggest break through sleeping with a male producer and so on. You would strange that casting couch does not affect only struggling actors but the indecent proposals are also offered to journalists and interviewees too. Myleene Klass is an example of such cases. In an interview, she told Now Magazine that she has been offered “more than the interview” from three stars even one big star’s P.A. came to her with a confidentiality contract too. This was shocked her badly and she refused it. It is so overwhelming to ignore but it’s a hidden reality of world’s largest entertaining glamorous industry.
